Biography
Thomas Hamilton Jr. was born and raised in Owensboro, Kentucky and graduated from Apollo High School in 1983. Immediately following high school, Mayor Hamilton enlisted in the United States Navy where he served on the USS William V Pratt DDG-44 as an Engineman.
After his service in the US Navy, Mayor Hamilton went to work with General Dynamics as a Welder and McCord Heat Transfer tester. From there, he found his forever job in 1989 at Robert Bosch, LLC. He has loyally worked at Bosch for over 34 years, working his way through the ranks to Metrology Specialist.
Mayor Hamilton has been married for 20 years to Carolyn Huggins Hamilton. Together they have three children, Richard, Alex, and Dallas. They are also blessed with two grandchildren, Ceci and Billy.
Mayor Thomas Hamilton Jr. is a past Commander of American Legion Post 126 in Moncks Corner, where he is still an active member. He is also a member of the Berkeley Soil and Water Conservation District, and the Association of South Carolina Mayors.
